布朗队将菜鸟球员迈克·霍尔(Mike Hall Jr.)放入伤病名单。左截锋威尔斯(Wills)因膝盖伤势被降级为出战成疑。

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was placed on injured reserve this weekend and will miss at least four games after sustaining a knee injury during an indoor practice drill this week.

The Browns also downgraded offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. to out with a knee injury for Sunday's game in New Orleans.

Wills's decision not to play in a game last month was initially explained by him saying he made a "business decision" due to a surgically repaired knee not being right. However, coach Kevin Stefanski later said that Wills used "poor choice of words" in explaining his decision.

Dawand Jones replaced Wills in the starting lineup. Wills was listed on the team's injury report this week but as a "full" participant.

Hall got hurt on Thursday when the Browns, who were coming off their bye week, practiced in their fieldhouse ahead of their game at the Superdome. The coach did not say if Hall needed surgery.

For Hall, it's been a challenging first season in the NFL. He was suspended five games by the league following a domestic violence arrest in August. However, the 21-year-old pleaded down to disorderly conduct.

The Browns selected Hall in the second round of this year's draft and were expected to give him more playing time over the final eight games. Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said that Hall was likely to see some snaps at end during the game, and the team also elevated wide receiver Kadarius Toney from the practice squad and signed defensive tackle Sam Kamara and defensive end Elerson Smith to the active roster.
